Plymouth traditionally has been known for its throbbing, weekend night club scene. The four main areas are union street, the barbican, warner village and North Hill/Mutley.
The Theatre Royal plymouth is one of the best in the country. There are also smaller theatres such as the Barbican, athenaeum and the Drum inside the Theatre Royal.



Each year Plymouth hosts the international fireworks championships.
For free entertainment it has few rivals.

The Hoe. Spectacular views can be seen from the hoe promenade, although avoid if you do not like crowded places.
