Night clubs and Bars

Plymouth traditionally has been known for its throbbing, weekend night club scene. The four main areas are union street, the barbican, warner village and North Hill/Mutley.

Theatre

The Theatre Royal plymouth is one of the best in the country. There are also smaller theatres such as the Barbican, athenaeum and the Drum inside the Theatre Royal.

Each year Plymouth hosts the international fireworks championships.

The Hoe. Spectacular views can be seen from the hoe promenade, although avoid if you do not like crowded places.

In addition to the fireworks competition there is also the annual 5th November display on Plymouth Hoe which once again is an amazing free spectacle.
